Police discover SUV hits home in Lockport
Drunk driver hits home and utility pole in the middle of the night. Police received a 911 call early Sunday morning about a drunk driver's SUV hitting a home and utility pole in Lockport, New York, causing it to roll over and crash into a utility pole. The driver, Timothy Outten, 26-year-old from Gasport, fled the scene on foot before being found by a search crew and taken to ECMC for evaluation. Outten was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident, but was released on appearance tickets. The homeowner was inside the residence at the time of the accident, uninjured.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Early Sunday morning, emergency personnel received a 911 call that a vehicle hit a home in Lockport at 4:39 a.m.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered an SUV had gone off the roadway, struck a home, rolled over, and then crashed into a utility pole.
The driver had fled the scene on foot, but was later identified as Timothy Outten, 26-year old, of Gasport. A search crew found him a short distance away from the home and transported him to ECMC by ambulance for an evaluation.
The homeowner was inside the residence at the time of the accident but was fortunately uninjured.
Outten was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and released at ECMC on appearance tickets.
