Erie County announces vast reduction in voting sites for primaries

Erie County Election Commissioners Ralph Mohr and Jeremy Zellner agree this will be a cost-saving effort for taxpayers. Erie County primary elections in 2024 will have significantly fewer polling sites than last year due to the absence of a county-wide primary on June 25. Early voting will begin from June 15 to 23, with polling sites only open in election districts and communities with primary elections. The number of polling sites will be reduced by half, from 38 to 19. This move is seen as a cost-saving effort by commissioners Ralph Mohr and Jeremy Zellner. The primary elections will also include a Republican primary for New York’s 147th Assembly District and Republican town justice primaries in Collins and North Collins.
