Hunter Biden was found guilty Tuesday on three felony gun charges, which leaves many wondering how this will play out for his tax fraud trial in California.

Attorney and author Karen Conti joined The National Desk Wednesday morning to discuss the case and what comes next for the president's son.

Biden faces up to 25 years in prison on these charges, but Conti doesn't believe he'll serve much time.

"He doesn't have a criminal history, and he's rehabilitated," Conti said. "I mean, he's done the work. He's gone through rehab. He's been clean and sober and there were really no victims of this crime. So, again, even though there are serious charges, I just don't see him doing much prison time here at all."

The younger Biden also faces nine felony tax charges in California, and Conti believes the gun charges may affect how that trial turns out.

She said Biden may not want to testify in that trial because of his criminal history that he can be cross-examined on.
